Original works by Leipzig artists from our art collection with more than 300 works from the “Leipzig School” and the “New Leipzig School” hang everywhere in the house and in all 73 cozy guest rooms and suites. All rooms and suites are equipped with a bathroom, toilet, TV, hairdryer, telephone and fast, free WiFi.

Central Location
The Galerie Hotel Leipziger Hof is centrally located, 1300 m east of the main train station, in Leipzig’s Wilhelminian style district Neustädter Markt. From here you can easily reach all of the city’s important business and cultural centers on foot, by car and by public transport. Our house is the closest city center hotel to the trade fair, the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL), the Porsche and BMW factory premises, the North-East industrial area and other commercial facilities.
You can easily reach us by car via the A9 motorway (Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg) and the “Leipzig-West” exit towards the city center. From the A14 motorway (Berlin, Dresden, Magdeburg, Hanover) please take the “Leipzig Mitte” exit towards the city center. The hotel’s own, secure and covered parking spaces with charging stations are available in the courtyard of our hotel for a small fee. There is also a public, free, time-limited car park 30 m from the hotel with over 40 parking spaces.

From Leipzig-Halle Airport you can either take the Airport Express to the main train station in 15 minutes or take a taxi to us in around 20 minutes. Leipzig Central Station is just a short walk away from us. Of course, you can also take tram line 1 (towards Mockau or Schönefeld) or line 3 (towards Sommerfeld) to Einertstrasse or Eisenbahnstrasse. From these stops it is only about 150 m to Hedwigstrasse and the hotel entrance.
Art and Events
Oil paintings, watercolors, lithographs, etchings and even a tapestry tell the viewer about this, our city, under a wide variety of colors, perspectives and times. Works by well-known names such as Bernhard Heisig, Hartwig Ebersbach, Werner Tübke, Wolfgang Mattheuer, Käthe Kollwitz hang closely next to works by younger, lesser-known artists.

Leipzig is known all year round for its many major music, art and other events. We have therefore put together special offers for your visit. Likewise for an enjoyable, interesting weekend with your own individual program, which we would be happy to give you suggestions for putting together. We would be happy to arrange for you a visit to the Gewandhaus, to the Thomaskirche with the world-famous St. Thomas Choir, to the opera, to one of the seven Leipzig cabarets, a thematic city tour (e.g. music, cabaret, etc.) or, for a change, a visit to the famous Leipzig Zoo Tour of the “Leipziger Neuseenland”, the renaturalized local recreation and park landscape in the area of the former brown coal opencast mine in the south of Leipzig and much more. You will always receive the cheapest rate when you book our house directly, either online or by telephone. This applies to all days of the year, without exception! We expressly guarantee this to you with our best price guarantee. You can see which rooms are available and what they cost. Then you can decide whether you want to book. When you book, you will receive your reservation confirmation by email within a few minutes. And you can cancel just as easily - if necessary.
The overnight prices mentioned include the service and the statutory VAT as well as the local taxes from the city of Leipzig. Children up to the age of six stay free in their parents' room and up to the age of 12 in an extra bed for a small additional charge. We are also happy to offer you inexpensive use of the sauna in the high cellar vaults of our house. We provide you with a bathrobe and two large sauna towels.
If you are staying in Leipzig for a month or longer, we have a furnished, comfortable 2-room apartment, about 60 square meters, with two separate rooms, a large, comfortable bathroom with natural light and a fully equipped kitchen. The cleaning of the apartment and the change of linen once a week are included in the price, as is the basic telephone fee and the reception service. Special hotel services can be used for a flat fee: breakfast or bread roll service, covered parking space, use of the wellness area with sauna, daily (instead of weekly) cleaning and laundry service, and much more!
