90. Art Exhibition

Johannes Eckardt

„Collages and Watercolors“

27.11.2021 to 20.02.2022

The materials (watercolor paint, glue, paper) allow for quick, active work. The formats are rarely larger than A3 and on paper. The narrative, the action, works in the collages. In the exhibition, the collages are flanked by portraits that represent calm and radiate monumentality. Man stands, entangled in his actions, at the center of the image idea. They are compositions that are like songs, following the mood and formal dramaturgy. Content is plot and action, tragedy, malice, failure and love. The works shown celebrate living people.
